Amber Flag 2021/22
We are very excited to announce that here at Scoil Naomh Treasa we are embarking on a new adventure. Following on from the success of the Green School Flag, Picker Pals and Blue Star Initiative, we are now taking on the challenge of obtaining an Amber Flag.
What is the Amber Flag?
The Amber Flag initiative is run by Pieta House which recognises the individual efforts of primary and secondary schools, youth reach, third level institutions, community groups, clubs and companies to create healthy, inclusive environments that support mental wellbeing.
Amber Flag Goals
This school year, the Amber Committee, along with other pupils and staff members have four goals to achieve in order to obtain our Amber Flag. Below are the goals to be achieved this year:
1. Hold a mental health awareness day in the school.
2. Conduct a fundraising event in aid of Pieta House.
3. Conduct a poster competition focusing on the Amber Flag/Mental Health.
4. Establish an Amber Flag noticeboard in the school.
Keep an eye on our Amber Flag blog page to see all our activities happening throughout the year and our journey to achieving our goals.
